New TD Double Up℠ card welcome bonus: $200 after $1,000 spent.

April 21, 2025: The last time we updated our TD Double Up℠ Credit Card offer page, we noticed that the welcome bonus had increased to $150 from $100. It seems TD Bank has increased the bonus again to $200. This is a good bonus on an excellent 2% cash back credit card.

Best welcome bonus: $200 statement credit

Our take: Competitive bonus on one of the best 2% cards

You can get $200 after spending $500 from some of the cards on our list of easy welcome bonuses and you can get much, much larger welcome bonuses elsewhere. So this bonus isn’t among the best bonuses available.

But this is a really good no-annual-fee 2% cash back credit card. And if you live within TD Bank’s service area, it’s probably the best 2% cash back credit card available. Most other cards don’t have much in the way of benefits, but the Double Up offers purchase protection, extended warranty, and cell phone protection.

  • Roadside dispatch.
  • Travel accident insurance.

Bottom line: Finally a competitive bonus on a great card

Over the last few years, we’ve seen TD Bank slowly increase the bonus amount on this card form $100 to $150 to (now) $200. That’s good news. The bad news is that the card isn’t available nationwide. But if you’re in TD Bank’s service area and you want 2% cash back on all purchases, this card is one of the best options available.
