Costco Visa Business welcome offers: None currently, previous $75 bonus

December 24, 2024: The Costco Anywhere Visa® Business Card no longer offers a welcome bonus to new cardmembers. If there is a new cardmember bonus offered on this card, we’ll update this page.

The last time the card offered a bonus was for a little less than a month in October 2024. Here’s what you need to know about the historical sign-up bonuses on this card.

Best Costco Visa Business Bonus: None currently available

Costco Anywhere Visa® Business Card by Citi

Requires Costco membership.

Best sign-up bonus: The Costco Anywhere Visa® Business Card does not currently offer a new cardmember welcome bonus. Learn how to apply.

When Costco offers a new cardmember bonus on the Business Visa, it is usually earned as a statement credit. Be aware that the rewards on this card are granted as a certificate that is issued once a year and must be cashed at a Costco warehouse.

Costco and Citi have occasionally offered a (small) new cardmember bonus on this card. See our coverage of the Costco Business Visa sign-up bonuses for details.

My take: Other cards are better for Costco. Bonus doesn’t matter

If you’re a Costco business member getting this card, whether the card is earning a sign up bonus currently won’t make or break your decision to get the card. In every case, it’s certainly not worth waiting around for a $75 bonus that may or may not ever show up again.

But be aware that this card probably isn’t the best card for you to use at Costco. The card promotes its 2% rewards in Costco warehouses and at Costco.com as being a signature feature, but plenty of cards offer 2% cash back everywhere. While most of these options are personal credit cards, there are small business card options on our list. And if you’re spending for your business at Costco, you’re likely to be spending enough that paying an annual fee is a rounding error.

In every case, the biggest downside of this card is the wonky way that you earn and redeem your rewards. With the Costco Business Visa, you need to wait until a paper certificate arrives in the mail with your February statement. You then need to take that physical certificate to a Costco to redeem it. Personally, I prefer 2% cash back that I can use anytime and can redeem as a statement credit or direct deposit into my business banking account.

Check out our list of the best cards to use at Costco if you are a frequent Costco shopper. You can get up to 5.25% cash back with other cards.

Bonus eligibility: Are you eligible to earn the sign-up bonus?

When we reviewed the terms and conditions of the Costco Anywhere Visa® Business Card by Citi bonus offer that was offered in October 2024, we didn’t find any restrictive terms and conditions. Most likely any future bonuses will be issued with similar terms and conditions. If Citi approves you for the card and you meet the spending requirements, you should be able to get the bonus.

Previous bonuses: Rare $75 bonus in 2024
