Our recommendations: The Best Ink credit card for you
Chase business credit card | Best for you if… |
---|---|
![]() Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card Annual fee: annual_fees | You want to minimize annual fees and you want simple rewards everywhere. Why: With no annual fee and decent 1.5% cash back rewards, the Ink Unlimited is an easy option if you want to get the card, use it for spending, and spend your time growing your business. But if you are after cash back rewards and spend more than $40,000 a year, you’ll earn more with the Ink Premier, even after considering that card’s annual fee. ![]() Ink Business Cash® Credit Card Annual fee: annual_fees | You want more rewards on gas stations, restaurants, office supply stores, and internet, cable and phone services. Why: The Ink Cash offers better rewards than the Ink Unlimited in these categories. If you pick up both cards, you can increase the amount of rewards you earn, using the Ink Cash when it earns more and the Ink Unlimited everywhere else. Welcome offer: bonus_miles_full Learn how to apply. |
![]() Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card Annual fee: annual_fees | You want to earn and redeem points on travel. Why: The Ink Preferred offers the highest earnings on travel purchases, plus having the card opens up the option to redeem points for travel booked through Chase Travel℠ at 25% more value, or transfer points to airline and hotel partner programs and possibly earn even more value. Welcome offer: bonus_miles_full Learn how to apply. |
![]() Ink Business Premier® Credit Card Annual fee: annual_fees | Your small business frequently makes large ($5,000+) purchases or you spend a lot on credit cards for your small business. Why: The additional rewards you’ll earn will cover the annual fee and you’ll come out ahead on total value compared to the Ink Unlimited once you make $40,000 of purchases in a year. And if you make $40,000 or more of large purchases in a year, you’ll come out ahead of a no-annual-fee card that offers 2% cash back everywhere. Welcome offer: bonus_miles_full Learn how to apply. |

Rewards: Categories vs. better rewards everywhere else
All of the Chase Ink-branded cards offer rewards. If you’re looking for flat-rate rewards on all of your purchases, the Ink Unlimited or Ink Premier is likely your best bet. But the Ink Cash and Ink Preferred offer increased rewards in categories that may be relevant to your business.

Reward redemption options
While the Ink Cash and Ink Unlimited both earn Ultimate Rewards® points, these cards are marketed by Chase as cash back cards. When we refer to these cards, you’ll see us making reference to “5% cash back in select categories” or “1.5% cash back everywhere.” But behind the scenes these cards earn points.
Why does that matter? With Ultimate Rewards, you can combine your points across accounts which means you can earn points on one card and use the redemption options available on another card. For example, if you held the Ink Cash and the Ink Preferred, you could earn increased rewards at office supply stores on the Ink Cash, transfer your points to your Ink Preferred, and redeem them for increased value through Chase Travel℠.
The Ink Business Premier® Credit Card earns cash back rewards that can not be transferred to other cards. Here’s a quick overview of the point redemption options available with each card.

My experience: How I use Chase Ink business credit cards

For my small business, I hold the trifecta of the Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card, Ink Business Cash® Credit Card, and Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card. I don’t hold an Ink Premier card.
The vast majority of my business spending goes on my Ink Unlimited card, but I do use the Ink Cash whenever I’m at an office supply store. I don’t use the Ink Cash for dining, since I put that on my Chase Freedom Flex® (which earns 3% cash back) and I put all of my gas purchases on my Blue Cash Preferred® card.
As for travel, I will charge airfares to the Ink Preferred for the travel insurance, but I have the card mostly as an alternative to holding a Chase Sapphire Preferred® or Chase Sapphire Reserve®, since I am able to consistently get excellent value from point transfers to Hyatt. I book my hotels directly and use a hotel credit card to earn the most points.
