My take on the current Alaska Airlines welcome bonuses
The offer on the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® credit card is clearly the one to get this time around. The business credit card previously offered more miles and Alaska’s companion fare as part of the bonus. Since the cards are substantively similar, I don’t see any reason to go for the lesser bonus.

The Alaska Airlines Visa® credit card offers a free checked bag on Alaska, plus increased Alaska miles for Alaska Airlines purchases. You can also earn Alaska’s companion certificate, branded as Alaska’s Famous Companion Care™ after you spend $6,00 or more in purchases each anniversary year.
When to pick this card: This card is very similar to the business version of this card. If you have an eligible personal Bank of America account, you can get a 10% bonus on the miles you earn from purchases. The card offers 2 miles per dollar on cable and streaming purchases (versus the business card’s 2 miles per dollar on shipping.)

When to pick this card: If you have an eligible small business Bank of America account, pick this card. You’ll earn a 10% bonus on the miles you earn from purchases using the card. The small business card offers 2 miles per dollar on shipping, instead of the personal card’s 2 miles per dollar on cable and streaming.
