You don’t need to be a AAA member to get the card and for someone looking for cash back rewards, the card is an excellent choice.
Our quick take on the AAA Daily Advantage Visa Signature® Credit Card
Cards and Points Rating:
About our star ratings.
If you want cash back, the AAA Daily Advantage Visa Signature® Credit Card is a great choice. It offers some of the best rewards at grocery stores, gas stations, wholesale clubs, pharmacies, and (of course) AAA purchases. The card has no annual fee and you don’t need to be a AAA member to get this card.
The card earns 5% cash back rewards on groceries and 3% cash back rewards in its other bonus categories. Once you earn $500 of cash back in a calendar year across the card’s bonus categories, the bonus category rewards revert to 1%.
But for most families, we don’t see that as an issue—if you used the card exclusively for groceries, you’d have to spend north of $800 a month before you hit the rewards cap. (And if you do spend more than that, check our our article on the best credit cards for groceries to find additional cards you can use to juice your grocery store rewards.)
It’s striking that this card is absent from the “best cards for…” lists on most major sites. It’s clearly among the best cards in every one of its bonus categories. (Although that’s unsurprising, since Bread Financial doesn’t pay affiliate commissions like other cards do.) Frankly, we think that sites ignoring this card is doing their readers a disservice.
If we had one wish to make the Daily Advantage card better it would be to include some sort of consumer insurance benefits. We’d like basic extended warranty and purchase protection—two benefits that many no annual fee cards have.
The bottom line on the AAA Daily Advantage card is that it’s a great card to get for most people who want cash back rewards.

Rewards: Market leading rewards at grocery stores, plus other bonus categories
The AAA Daily Advantage Visa Signature® Credit Card is perhaps the best card to use for groceries and is great if you’re looking for cash back in its other bonus categories as well. Here’s what the Daily Advantage earns:
- 5%* cash back on grocery store purchases.
- 3%* cash back on gas and electric vehicle charging, wholesale clubs, streaming services, pharmacies, and AAA purchases.
- 1% cash back on all other purchases.
* The bonus rewards in the card’s 5% and 3% categories are capped. Once you’ve earned $500 of cash back in the card’s bonus categories during a calendar year, all purchases earn 1% until the next calendar year. As an example, $10,000 on groceries (at 5% cash back) or about $16,667 at wholesale clubs (at 3% cash back) will get you $500 of bonus category cash back.
Cash back rewards can be redeemed for a statement credit, direct deposit, or a variety of gift card and merchandise redemptions. Statement credit and direct deposit redemptions require you to accumulate at least $5 of rewards.
Cash back rewards expire five years after the date they are posted to your account, so be sure to redeem your rewards completely at least once every five years.
Benefits: No advertised benefits
The AAA Daily Advantage Visa Signature® Credit Card doesn’t advertise any benefits, so you might want to use another card for travel purchases and purchases of durable goods where benefits really matter.
Who is the AAA Daily Advantage Visa Signature® Credit Card best for?
If you’re buying groceries or shopping at a wholesale club, the AAA Daily Advantage Visa Signature® Credit Card is probably worth consideration.
Most likely you won’t want it to be the only card in your wallet. You can double the rewards you earn everywhere else by picking up a simple 2% cash back credit card. And you’ll probably want extended warranty benefits and purchase protection on more expensive purchases where these matter.
Bottom line: An excellent card for cash back on groceries
The AAA Daily Advantage Visa Signature® Credit Card doesn’t get much coverage, but it’s one of the best cards to use for groceries and has strong cash back rewards in several other useful categories. The card’s biggest downside is its lack of consumer benefits, but this can be mitigated by picking up another no annual fee card for your larger purchases.
