About Cards and Points and its founder

Aaron Hurd, Executive Editor of CardsAndPoints.com.

About the founder. I’m Aaron Hurd, one of the foremost experts in credit cards, travel rewards, and loyalty programs. Over the past decade, I’ve written, edited, contributed to, or been quoted in almost every publication of note that talks about credit cards. (I don’t need to list the logos—just google my name.)

Why Cards and Points? Today, most of the content about credit cards on the internet is written by content mills, generalist SEO writers, or generative AI, with the singular goal of driving clicks to affiliate links. This means that most information you’ll find is low-quality, inaccurate, and often doesn’t feature the best products or offers. I launched Cards and Points because I saw a need for a single, trusted source of expert-written, user-first content about credit cards, benefits, and rewards.

What do we promise? Our promise is simple: We keep our readers first. This means that we publish only original, expert-written content. It also means that when we write about a product, we’ll give you our honest take on it and show you the best offers, regardless of our advertising relationships.
