October 31, 2024: We found that it is possible to get a 250k point welcome offer on The Business Platinum Card® from American Express using a referral link or through a targeted offer.
Most sites advertise only their affiliate offers on The Business Platinum Card® from American Express. But you can likely find a better welcome offer with a bit of effort.

On October 30, 2024, we confirmed that some existing cardmembers were able to generate referral links that display the following offer:

Here are some referral links that we’ve confirmed bring up this offer. If you want to contribute your own referral links to be displayed on this page, subscribe to our newsletter. We put out calls for subscriber links when we hear of a better offer available through referral links.
Targeted offer: Up to 250k Membership Rewards®
At the time of publication, we were able to find a targeted offer for 250,000 Membership Rewards® points after $20,000 of spending in 3 months. We were able to pull this up in both Chrome Incognito mode and Safari Private Browsing mode by going to the Amex website directly. We were also able to find the offer by searching for “Amex Business Platinum” and clicking the link to the American Express website.
Finding a targeted offer can be a tricky task, but here are the top three tactics we use to find the best targeted offers:
- Visit the American Express website directly and see if a targeted offer for the card is displayed.
- Search for “Amex Business Platinum” and click on the links to the website.
- Trying the two tactics above in an Incognito or Private browsing window might yield different results.
Only American Express knows how it generates targeted offers. Seeing a good offer doesn’t guarantee that you’ll see that offer again when you refresh your browser window.

Bottom line: A little work can get you a larger bonus
When it comes to getting the best welcome offer on The Business Platinum Card® from American Express, clicking on the first link you see likely won’t get you the best offer available. Since American Express markets different offers through different channels and seeds targeted welcome offers through its website, you can often get a better offer with minimal effort.
